LATEST NEWS
Joe attended the 2nd Annual Boogieman race
on Saturday, the 14th of October at Thunderlake Speedway in Kansas. Joe
qualified on pole for the JRII Lights by winning both heat races and finished 2nd in the A feature. As for the JRII Medium Class, Joe finished 4th in
the first heat race and 3rd in the second, but had to come through the B
to get in the Main. Joe won the B feature and this placed him 6th row
inside of the A. He ended up finishing 3rd. Overall, it was a
great night of racing and the track was in great condition--just a little cold by
the end of the night.
The next race on the schedule as
the season comes to a close will be the Turkey Chase, which will be held in
Lincoln Nebraska on Thanksgiving weekend. There he will be competing in three
classes: the JRII Light, JRII Heavy and JR Animal Classes that will run each of the
three days. This will close out the 2006 Racing schedule.
Joe will be attending the
Midwest Speedway Tour Banquet which will be held on the 12th of November.
Joe ran this series for the second time and finished 12th in JRII Lights and 8th in JRII
Heavys. This was a great series and the
competition was even better. 7 of the 8 National Champions for the 2006 season
raced in this series, 3 of the IKF Championships won at Pipestone and all 4 of
the K.A.R.T. Champions raced in this series. This series continues to grow and
it looks like the 2007 tour will be even better.
The Tulsa Shootout will be kicking off the
2007 season. There Joe will be competing for the Oil Driller trophy in the JRII
Restrictor Class, JRII Unrestricted and the JR Animal Class. This is one of the
best races in the country and the turnout is just as great.
